The Smok Alien 222W Box Mod might sound like it deserves a place in the movies, but wow it’s a great little performer. Compactness is the name of the game with this mod. It’s designed to be not just slender but also pocket friendly, and more than capable of hitting those big notes.

It’s a budget vape kit – not bad at all for a 44mm (L) C 85mm (H) option.

So What Makes The Smok Alien So Good?

In a nutshell it comes down to power and compactness. This is a seriously pocket friendly device that takes up less than the room of a pack of classic cigs. It has a dual battery (18650) capacity that are well known for being the best in the business for any vaping.

Best of all though is the way that the Smok Alien 220W Box Mod makes great use of variable wattage/voltage. It stretches all the way from 1W up to an ungodly 220W, while also offering fantastic variation on ohms -0.1Ω-3Ω (Variable) and 0.06Ω-2Ω (Temp Control settings). This allows for not just a great on the go vape, but also one which can be easily optimized for heady cloud based fun!

For those who like their temperature control – and who doesn’t – it also is more than capable of handling anywhere between 200C to 600C. This makes sure to provide a steady, reliable vape every session and when allied with the battery quality absolute reliability.

Even though this is a discreet box, thanks to the tank it is capable of holding 2ml of E-Liquid. That’s more than enough to get through a general day, and best of all the tank can be used with a variety of coils. We’d suggest sticking with those approved by Smok to make for the best experience, but it’s an open market for more adventurously minded.

The Baby Tank is designed to be used exclusively with the Smok Alien 220W box mod. It has a very particular threading which does mean that users will have to use the same tank, but other than that it’s completely modifiable.

General Performance

Given that the price level is ridiculously low, this is a fantastic choice for anyone wanting a serious vape at a wallet friendly outlay.

It’s a great little performer, especially when configured for low ohm vaping. Generous clouds, and lots of fun! Try to use the tank filled about two thirds, any more seems to slow down the first hits.

Not that long ago mods of this quality would have been 2/3 times more expensive. Quite how Smok have been able to combine great build quality along with phenomenal quality is pretty remarkable. Top marks on this regard!
